The "Concert for Creating Communities," a benefit concert for arts programs serving the mentally ill, children with emotional problems, hospital patients and more, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday May 18 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1101 Bay Ridge Ave.

2C is exited to announce a free and open to the public event at Arundel Lodge, where we have been piloting an art, music, and creativity program for adults with mental illness such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
We will be sharing art, music, and poetry created by members of Arundel Lodge.

Creating Communities is pleased to present The Secret Club, a traveling exhibition of art work by women who have suffered perinatal loss and a talk by Laura Seftel, founder of The Secret Club. Perinatal loss includes miscarriage, stillbirth, and other forms of infant loss.
Seftel writes: The Secret Club Project is dedicated to the many women and men who carry a quiet loss, a loss that underlies their daily affairs and permeates their dreams with memories of children who were with them too briefly. The sudden and sometimes traumatic loss of a pregnancy can linger just under the surface for years. The gift of the artists presented here is their willingness to explore "a grief without a shape" and share the dark beauty of their imagery with us so that we, in turn, can create a more compassionate society. The exhibition was made possible by a grant from the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis.
